Known by many other names that include Peruvian Lily, Ulster Mary, Parrot Lily and Lily of the Incas, Alstroemerias are dainty and fun flowers which are available all year round. Because of this, you can easily spot them being featured in many of our hand bouquets and table flower arrangements.
While they might seem unique, Alstroemerias are more often than not, mistaken for dwarf or miniature lilies because of their trumpet like blooms. Give it a closer look and you will realize that they have distinct dark dotted markings, with a hint of yellow on the inside of their petals. Not to mention they have one other distinct physical trait, the leaves on their stems grow upside down! Their leaves twist as it leaves the stem, so that the bottom is facing upwards.
